Like most people, I enjoyed coloring, drawing, and painting as a young child, but I think my love affair with art really began when I was handed a school agenda in 6th grade. Other students saw a boring assignment planner, but to me it was a blank canvas asking to be decorated. I came home, painted the front cover white, and let my creative juices flow. On one side I drew a mandala, and recreated Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of The Moon” album cover on the other. It was the first time my eyes opened up to the fun and possibilities of art. As my time in middle school went on, I discovered how much I really enjoy the creative process — I loved taking something that started in my mind and bringing it to life in a digital medium.
